Bag Lady Project

The mission of the Bag Lady Project is to enhance the lives of those less fortunate through acts of kindness by providing hygiene and personal care items. With a focus on underprivileged and homeless families and children, the Bag Lady Project strives to give back to the community of Tucson, Arizona and the surrounding area.

Bag Lady Project

Bag Lady Project, Inc. is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides individual bags, with various personal care items, for homeless and needy people in Tucson, Arizona and the surrounding area. We customize them for men, women, teens, young children and babies. These items include things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, diapers, shampoo and soap, just to name a few. Please see the wish list for a complete list. We have found that most charities focus on food and clothing. While these needs are important as well, hygiene items tend to be forgotten. It is for this reason that the Bag Lady Project was established.

The Bag Lady Project is a 501(C)(3) organization.

To the friends and supporters of The Bag Lady Project:

As of August 1, the Bag Lady Project will be taking a sabbatical for a short time. We find it necessary to re-think the scope of our project and the goals that we can reasonably attain.

We would like to thank each one of you that has been such a help to us with this project. We could not have done anything without you. If you would like to continue to help others perhaps you would consider; Primavera Foundation, Hope of Glory Ministries or the Giving Tree Outreach Program.

Respectfully,

Rich and Debbie Pinnell

"Blanket Lady" shares her skills to help families and children in need.

Blanket Lady hand makes baby receiving blankets that are donated to homeless and underprivileged families through the Bag Lady Project. She also makes warm quilts for children during the winter. Children use blankets and quilts for security as well as for keeping warm.

If you would like to see her handiwork, please go to our Picture page.
